At Salty Wave Surf School, we believe little surfers deserve special care when starting their surfing journey. That’s why all surf lessons for children under the age of 12 are provided by our trusted partners at ASA - Algarve Sea Adventures, located in beautiful Praia da Luz.

Kids learn to surf differently than adults – often faster and with a unique sense of fun and curiosity. These lessons are specifically designed with children in mind, creating a safe, caring, and playful environment where they can thrive.

To ensure each child gets the attention they need, lessons are held in small groups with a maximum ratio of 1 instructor + 1 nanny for every 6 kids. This individual approach helps young surfers feel confident, safe, and supported throughout their time in the water.

And when parents join the lesson, the beach is always chosen with the youngest participants in mind – making sure your day with us becomes a highlight of your holiday… and maybe even your first family surf trip!

What’s Included:

• Daily sessions with around 2 hours of surfing (up to a total of 4 hours including breaks)

• Friendly, fully certified surf coaches and nanny support

• 1 instructor per 4 kids teaching ratio

• Surfboard and wetsuit included

Please note: Salty Wave Surf School only offers lessons for ages 14 and up. All kids’ lessons under 12 are proudly provided by ASA - Algarve Sea Adventures in Praia da Luz.
